Does God choose who will be saved and who will not be saved?

It depends on three things.

1. The only person who will ever get the determining final say is the one who is sovereign whereby no one can overrule that person. So here's the first question. Who is sovereign? God or the dead sinner?

2. The scriptures declares that the Father & Jesus have life within themselves, that in Christ is life, and that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. God is holy has declared that the soul who sin must die unless that soul have a eternally holy righteous sinless payment in blood.

Those same scriptures declares that the sinner is dead in trespasses and sins, the sinner is alienated from the life of God, that the sinner have no hope and without God in the world, that the sinner is classified as the natural man who does not receive anything from God - does have the capacity to know God in anyway truly believing that the things of God is foolishness, that the sinner is twice dead and twice blind, that the sinner cannot in any capacity please God, that the sinner is darkness, resides in darkness while living in the kingdom of darkness, that the sinner is an enemy of God - a hater of God who is not subject to the laws of God nor indeed can be, that the sinner walks in lust, in futility, in darkness, in their own ways, in the night, after the flesh, that the sinner love darkness, hate the light, deeds are evil, rejects the gospel, hates the truth, hold the truth in unrighteousness, are unthankful, refuse to think about God, refuse to acknowledge God, mock God, follow their own way, do things against nature, boastfully rebel against God, encourage others to do the same, then elect people to power who just like them.

Here's the question. Which one of those two do you believe have a desire to see the other saved and the ability to save the one who is lost?

3. God is life and the sinner is dead. Here's the question. From where does the sinner get the power and authority to raise himself from the dead in order to seek God's forgiveness?

You see my friend, when you allow just the scriptures to speak for itself then the answer to these types of questions is easy. The problem is Calvinism vs. Arminianism. The problem is God's word vs. man's wisdom.

Which are you depending upon?

One final quote - words in ( ) are mine - just asking questions for clarity.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 (NKJV) 13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you (believers), brethren beloved by the Lord (only believers are loved by God), (why Paul, are you giving thanks for us to God?) because God (okay, what about God, what did God do for us believers, Paul?) from the beginning (do you mean before creation? Yes.) chose you (wait, what? You mean I didn't pray first nor make Jesus my Savior? No because you were not yet created to do any of those things. Okay then why did God choose me?) for salvation (wait, what? Do you mean God chose us and not others? Yes. How did God do that?) through sanctification by the Spirit (whoa, do you mean that the new birth comes first? Yes. Then what?) and belief in the truth (do you mean to tell me that my believing, repentance, and exercising of my faith comes AFTER YOU SAVE ME? Yes. But how?), 14 to which He (God) called you ( wait, what? You God called me? Yes. That can't be right, You meant to say that I called upon You? No, because dead people cannot speak, you needed life first. Well then, how did You call me?) by our gospel (I commanded one of My children to tell you the gospel. Really? Yes. But why, Lord? I did this because it is the only acceptable means), for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. (which is My purpose for saving My children, to the praise of My glory and grace.)
