How can He create a world filled with evil and sin? Part 4
God concludes His own commentary on the total depravity of the sinner and the righteousness of Himself in verses 27 thru 31.
v.27 No sinner irrespective of how moral, have any grounds to boast. Why not? Because our sins did not come from immoral behavior it came through conception. We were born guilty, wicked, wretched, filthy, rotten, God hating sinners and no amount of penance can undo that.
v.28 God’s conclusion is that you and I need a Savior. No, prayer is not a Savior. No, confession is not a Savior. No, repentance is not a Savior. No, accepting Christ as Lord is not a Savior. No, turning away or stop sinning is not a Savior, it’s too late for that.
How many sins does it take before a holy God to be guilty and worthy of death, casted into outer darkness and the lake of fire? ONE! God said we were CONCEIVED with that ONE SIN. It’s too late to pray, confess, repent, accept, turn away, or stop! It’s too late.
v. 29 Is this only for the Jews since they were the only Nation that received God’s perfectly holy Laws? No. The Laws of God reveals that we are all guilty even though we did not receive them directly as did Israel. That doesn’t change the fact that we were all conceived in sin, it simply proves it.
v. 30 The God who created all things, is the same God who gave the Law written on every human’s heart, is the same God who gave the Law to the nation of Israel, is the God who wrote this through Paul:
Romans 2:12-16 (NKJV) 12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law 13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; 14 FOR WHEN THE GENTILES, WHO DO NOT HAVE THE LAW, BY NATURE DO THE THINGS IN THE LAW, THES, ALTHOUGH NOT HAVING THE LAW, ARE A LAW TO THEMSELVES. 15 WHO SHOW THE WORK OF THE LAW WRITTEN IN THEIR HEARTS, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
